Holiday Inn & Suites Bakersfield by IHG

A nice hotel with decent and spacious rooms and the shower works well and bathroom has all the amenities. The beds are very comfortable and service is very good. However, we had bought some chicken sandwiches and were planning to refrigerate but there was no refrigerator!!! We ended up throwing them out! That was disappointing. Also at 2:40 am, the heating unit started a rumble that sounded like there was a truck in the room! It was so loud but I was able to turn it off after 5 minutes. Finally despite breakfast “made to order”, when we got to breakfast, the eggs, potatoes and meats were all lukewarm or cold. The potato’s tasted like rubber. Still it was a cut above many other hotel breakfasts. Also, they have a small fitness center which works and we used.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on December 1st, 2025 and found it to be a good value. We got a good last minute deal and had a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and felt safe at this location. I also liked the walk in shower opposed to a bathtub. The one thing I did not like was that there were no blackout curtains. They only have a sheer curtain for the window that lets all the sun in if you're trying to sleep late. Overall, it was a nice stay and the staff was very nice.

Had an amazing stay at the Holiday Inn! The room was super clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Everything felt comfortable and well taken care of — definitely a 5-star experience!

We got there early evening and when we walked in, we were last place with 5 in line. The receptionist, Aly was very attentive in letting everyone know she would be right with us. She kept her cool in a stressful situation and that's something I appreciate. The rooms were clean and pretty spacious. Only complaint is the room didn't come with a mini fridge.

Evening drinks and meals - served by Trevor and prepared by Misty made my stay pleasant. The onsite restaurant was a great surprise. The service and quality of meal was even more of a gem. Thank you.

Trinidad had the most welcoming vibe right when we walked in the door. She was as really polite and held great conversation while checking in. You can not find that kind of service anymore. The house keepers were rude I could hear them gossiping as I would walk past from my room speaking of guest and co workers making fun of people. When I asked for new towels they were too busy talking I had to ask again then getting a rude look for interrupting.over all it was a okay experience.

The room was great! The only complaint is that I had no fridge. The location was top notch. Breakfast was spectacular, with Beatrice and Jordan making it even more so for me. I will definitely be staying again!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for a few days and honestly had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and always willing to help. My room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. The location made it easy to get around, and it was nice and quiet at night. Overall, just a really comfortable and easy stay — I’d definitely come back.
